Synopsis
The Colombian Latin orchestra La Mambanegra mixes all kinds of musical elements such as Jamaican and Colombian music, but also funk and hip hop. Yet they are still most influenced by the music of New York in the 1970s, where salsa music blossomed. La Mambanegra gives the genre a new shine. The Colombian band's music is inspired by an anonymous and mythical hero from Cali's popular Barrio Obrero neighborhood. The eight talented musicians of La Mambanegra show their skills at the Music Meeting Festival in Nijmegen.
