Synopsis

In this episode, we see "The Pazmanian Devil" Vinny Pazienza in front of his hometown crowd in Providence, Rhode Island, taking on undefeated WBA Super Welterweight World Champion Gilbert Dele of France. The raucous crowd was firmly in favor of its local hero, cheering him on as he looked to win his second World Title, having lost the first one to Greg Haugen three years earlier. The fight would be a classic, as two world-class fighters stood toe-to-toe, neither one having intentions of hearing the final bell. Pazienza's story would be the subject of a feature film - "Bleed For This" - including this fight as well as Pazienza's nearly career-ending car crash in which his neck was broken. After being informed that he might never walk again, Pazienza defied all odds, returning to the ring 13 months later in nothing short of a miracle.
